Coming to Christian store shelves everywhere on Feb. 7th, is another addition to the Veggie Tales DVD collection; Abe and the Amazing Promise.
This video teaches the important lesson of patience by using the Old Testament story of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac.
My son is a huge fan of Veggie Tales and was more than ready to sit down with my hubster and I for a family viewing. He enjoyed watching movie and laughed throughout the entire thing. And while he’s too young to communicate what, exactly, he learned from the DVD, I take heart in knowing the wholesome life lessons Veggie Tales focuses on teaching.
Another wonderful point about Veggie Tales’ movies is that they’re made for the big kids (parents) too. I can always take a great lesson away from their silly stories to apply to my own life.

I have an online friend that I’m pretty close to. She’s about 1/3 of the way through her 3rd pregnancy. However, just this past September, her 13 month old baby girl passed away. They had no warning- she got sick one day after being perfectly fine, and she passed the next night. Obviously the new baby is very much welcomed but as you can imagine, she and her husband have all sorts of feelings about what is going on. They also have a 5 year old son. I would love for them to be considered. Her name is Christine.
Brynna wanted me to mention that she was the individual out of an entire group of women to nominate Christine. This nomination was something backed by many people.
I can’t even imagine what Christine and her family are feeling. I’m sure there are a lot of up and down emotions. I did have a chance to speak with Christine on the phone briefly. She seemed stunned at the news and I know she was very grateful. She also sent a special thank you to Alex for choosing her name. (As you can imagine, after reading the entries, I wanted nothing to do with deciding on my own who should win.)

Yes, you read that right. Bebe au Lait has recently released a double reversible bib that I am ga-ga for.

Babylicious allowed my son and I to try out what they’ve donated for the baby shower.
This is the “Yummy Blanket Groovy Blue Small Dot”. This blanket is more suited for an infant but my toddler likes to use it at bedtime. On one side of the blanket has a soft, no-pile fleece and the other is 100% cotton. This blanket is heavy enough to keep baby warm but light enough to not overheat him/her.
Hip Baby Gear sells gear for baby and for mom and dad. You can consider this website to be a list of “must-haves” for all of your parenting needs.
